About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager Produksi (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team in Demak, Central Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our manufacturing operations. As Manager Produksi, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires strong communication with our parent company and international partners, making Mandarin language proficiency essential. You will be integral to our strategic objectives, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines
• Manage and supervise production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and team development
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and customer requirements
• Monitor production efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to increase productivity
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across the manufacturing facility
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for analysis and decision-making
• Liaise with senior management, engineering teams, and international partners to communicate production status and resolve operational challenges
• Manage production budgets and control costs whilst maintaining operational effectiveness
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and process optimisation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar senior manufacturing role, ideally in a technology or electronics manufacturing environment
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) to facilitate communication with international stakeholders and head office
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems
• Demonstrated expertise in quality control and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin to interact with international teams
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred
• Experience working with multinational companies or international manufacturing environments is advantageous
