Job summary

Explera DMC is seeking an Operations Executive for our Indonesia desk, working remotely from Indonesia. You will reconfirm villas, resorts and hotels, arrange domestic flights, fast boats, and private transfers with driver-guides, brief guides and drivers, ensuring guests arrive, travel and depart on time.

You will handle FIT travellers, families and groups from India, the Gulf and South-East Asia, often with Indian vegetarian and Jain meal needs, coordinating with partners and logging feedback

Qualifications

• 2+ years in ground operations or reservations in Indonesia
• Strong knowledge of Bali, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Yogyakarta, Mount Bromo and Komodo
• Bahasa Indonesia and good English; Hindi is a plus
• Organised, calm under pressure and quick on the phone

Responsibilities

• Booking files & reconfirmations: receive confirmed files, book and reconfirm villas, resorts, hotels, transfers, tours, guides, restaurants and entrance tickets
• Daily operations: dispatch transfers and guides, track arrivals/departures, handle changes across multiple Indonesian destinations
• Supplier coordination & quality: brief suppliers clearly, follow up confirmations in writing, log incidents and guest feedback
• Costing & closing files: check supplier invoices against confirmed rates and close each file with accounts

Role overview

We are seeking an Operations Executive for our Indonesia desk, working remotely from Indonesia. Once a partner confirms a booking, operations makes it happen: you reconfirm villas, resorts and hotels, arrange domestic flights, fast boats, and private transfers with driver-guides, brief guides and drivers, and make sure every guest arrives, travels and departs on time.

You will handle FIT travellers, families and groups from India, the Gulf and South-East Asia, often with Indian vegetarian and Jain meal needs, and keep partners informed at every step.

Key responsibilities

1. Booking files & reconfirmations

• Receive confirmed files from sales and quotations, and check every service, date and name
• Book and reconfirm villas, resorts and hotels, transfers, tours, guides, restaurants and entrance tickets
• Prepare rooming lists, service vouchers and final itineraries for partners

2. Daily operations

• Dispatch transfers and guides, and track arrivals and departures on the day
• Handle changes: flight delays, room issues, weather and extra services across Bali, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Yogyakarta, Mount Bromo and Komodo
• Take part in the after-hours duty roster for guests on tour

3. Supplier coordination & quality

• Brief suppliers clearly and follow up every confirmation in writing
• Log incidents and guest feedback, and follow them up with suppliers

4. Costing & closing files

• Check supplier invoices against confirmed rates and close each file with accounts
• Keep booking records accurate in our booking system

Requirements

• 2+ years in ground operations or reservations at a DMC, tour operator or hotel in Indonesia
• Good knowledge of Bali, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Yogyakarta, Mount Bromo and Komodo
• Bahasa Indonesia and good English; Hindi is a plus
• Organised, calm under pressure and quick on the phone
• Able to join the after-hours duty roster
• Living in Indonesia and able to work as an independent contractor (invoicing Explera monthly)
• Your own laptop, a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work

Remote contract

This is a remote role for people living in Indonesia. There is no Explera office in Indonesia: you work from home and join the team online.

• Engagement: independent contractor with Explera DMC Limited (Hong Kong), with a monthly fee agreed in writing
• You invoice monthly and handle your own Indonesian tax and BPJS as a self-employed professional
• Working hours: 09:00–18:00 WITA on weekdays, or as agreed at offer
• You use your own laptop and a reliable internet connection; Explera provides the systems and accounts you need
