Job summary

• 5+ years in hotel or ground contracting at a DMC, tour operator or hotel group in Indonesia.
• A strong network of villas, resorts and hotels and transport suppliers across Indonesia.
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
• Bahasa Indonesia and fluent English.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Living in Indonesia and able to work as an independent contractor (invoicing Explera monthly).
• Your own laptop, a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work.

• Contract transport, guides, activities and restaurants on clear terms.
• Plan rates and allotments ahead of peak seasons.
• Make sure every contract, rate, supplement and policy is loaded correctly in our booking system.
• Review margins and competitiveness with sales and quotations every season.
• Lead and train the supplier executives; report monthly on contracted inventory, savings and supplier performance.

Role overview

We are seeking a Contracting Manager to lead supplier management for Explera's Indonesia business. You will negotiate and manage contracts with villas, resorts and hotels, transport companies, activity providers and restaurants, so our partners get competitive, reliable rates for Bali, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Yogyakarta, Mount Bromo and Komodo.

You will lead the supplier executives, set contracting priorities with sales and quotations, and make sure every rate and policy in our system is correct.

Key responsibilities

1. Contracts & negotiation

• Negotiate annual contracts, allotments, release periods, group rates and special offers with villas, resorts and hotels
• Contract transport, guides, activities and restaurants on clear terms
• Plan rates and allotments ahead of the July–August high season, Christmas and New Year, and Nyepi

2. Rates & systems

• Make sure every contract, rate, supplement and policy is loaded correctly in our booking system
• Review margins and competitiveness with sales and quotations every season

3. Supplier quality & relationships

• Run site inspections and quality checks, and act on guest feedback
• Onboard new suppliers with the right licences, insurance and payment terms

4. Team leadership

• Lead and train the supplier executives
• Report monthly on contracted inventory, savings and supplier performance

Requirements

• 5+ years in hotel or ground contracting at a DMC, tour operator or hotel group in Indonesia
• A strong network of villas, resorts and hotels and transport suppliers across Indonesia

Remote contract

This is a remote role for people living in Indonesia. There is no Explera office in Indonesia: you work from home and join the team online.

• Engagement: independent contractor with Explera DMC Limited (Hong Kong), with a monthly fee agreed in writing
• You invoice monthly and handle your own Indonesian tax and BPJS as a self-employed professional
• Working hours: 09:00–18:00 WITA on weekdays, or as agreed at offer
• You use your own laptop and a reliable internet connection; Explera provides the systems and accounts you need
