Job summary

CTX Logistics is seeking a Customer Service Executive – Ocean Freight in Jakarta to coordinate end-to-end shipments, manage documentation, and serve as the customer contact. You will liaise with carriers, prepare documents, and monitor performance to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 2–4 years in ocean freight or logistics, strong communication, and proficiency with freight systems and MS Office. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years in ocean freight forwarding or customer service within a logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of international ocean freight documentation and shipping procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Proficient in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily ocean freight shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely booking, and smooth cargo movement from origin to destination.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring high service satisfaction throughout the shipment process.
• Prepare and verify all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs documents.
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, port agents, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to timelines.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and promptly communicate any deviations or delays to clients.
• Handle rate inquiries, quotations, and service requests in coordination with the pricing and sales teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records in the company’s freight management system.
• Support the operations and finance teams in ensuring correct billing, cost control, and timely submission of shipping documentation.
• Assist in resolving service complaints and implementing corrective actions to improve the customer experience.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and customer satisfaction within ocean freight operations.
