MatchaTalent seeks a Mining Project Manager – Nickel Operations in Indonesia to lead end‑to‑end greenfield projects, infrastructure development, and production optimization. You will manage fleet, scheduling, and contractor coordination while ensuring safety, budget, and timelines.

The role requires a hands‑on leader with 8–10 years in mining, including 3–5 years in management, preferably with nickel or similar mineral operations and experience in contractor-controlled environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related technical field.
• POP, POM, or POU certifications are highly preferred.
• 8–10 years in mining operations with 3–5 years in management or project leadership.
• Experience in Mining Contractors with cost-control and P&L environments.
• Greenfield mining projects from infrastructure to production and shipping.
• Adequate English for technical coordination and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead greenfield mining project development including hauling roads, jetty construction, pit opening, and site infrastructure.
• Oversee end‑to‑end mining operations: scheduling, pit planning, fleet management, and execution.
• Optimize equipment ratios, manpower, and site productivity for efficiency.
• Monitor budgets, cost-per-ton, forecasting, and financial efficiency across projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering, pit services, and stakeholders for continuity.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and governance.
• Prepare production, operations, and milestone reports for senior management.
• Drive improvements and resolve technical/site challenges during execution.
