Job summary

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marchandise Consignment Executive to join PT Deus Ex Machina Indonesia in Bali. This is a full-time position based in our Bali location, offering an exciting opportunity to drive new business development through strategic merchandise consignment partnerships. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our market reach and establishing valuable relationships with retail partners, whilst managing consignment inventory and optimising sales performance across multiple touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and approach potential retail partners and outlets for merchandise consignment opportunities
• Develop and present compelling consignment proposals to prospective partners, demonstrating clear value propositions and commercial terms
• Negotiate consignment agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that align with company objectives and profitability targets
• Manage the complete consignment lifecycle, including inventory allocation, stock rotation and performance monitoring
• Track and analyse consignment sales performance, generating regular reports and actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain strong relationships with existing consignment partners, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for expansion or additional product lines
• Collaborate with internal teams including inventory management, finance and marketing to ensure seamless consignment operations
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business development opportunities within the retail and consignment sectors
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs established for new consignment partnerships and overall revenue generation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in sales development, business development or similar roles within the retail, merchandise or consignment industry
• Demonstrated success in identifying and securing new business partnerships with measurable results
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term commercial relationships
• Excellent understanding of consignment models, inventory management and retail operations
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities in both English and Indonesian
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple partnerships and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and passion for achieving sales targets
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Knowledge of the Bali retail market and existing network of retail outlets is highly advantageous
