About the role
This is the first dedicated IT Support role at AME. You will own the workplace: the people, their working environment, their access and their day-to-day technology, and shape how workplace IT operates as the company grows.
Key responsibilities
- Own the staff virtual desktop environment: provisioning, access, performance and availability
- Manage permissions and shared resources, applying least-privilege as standard practice
- Support the transition from the current desktop setup to laptops, keeping security controls in place
- Provide first-line support across research, sales and technology, resolving issues or escalating them cleanly
- Manage the ticket queue, so requests are visible, prioritized and closed
- Look after the office network, meeting room technology, printers and shared equipment
- Own device lifecycle: procurement, provisioning, maintenance, refresh and secure disposal
- Manage endpoints through Intune or similar: enrolment, compliance policies, patching and remote wipe
- Own identity and access: account creation, group membership, permissions and offboarding
- Apply multi-factor authentication and conditional access within the security model set by the infrastructure team
- Make sure new starters have a working environment and the right access on day one, and that leavers lose access the same day
- Own asset and license management: hardware lifecycle, warranty tracking, software license compliance and seat counts
- Write and maintain runbooks and self-service documentation
- Track recurring issues and fix the cause rather than the symptom
- Manage vendors: renewals, support contracts and spend visibility
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in IT Support, Helpdesk or Systems Administration
- Experience supporting a professional office environment, ideally in a company with staff in more than one country
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Able to work independently and manage your own queue
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- Microsoft, CompTIA or equivalent certification is an advantage, not a requirement
Skills and Experience
- Endpoint management: Intune or equivalent, device compliance and patching
- Virtual desktop environments: provisioning, access control and performance troubleshooting
- Identity and access management, and an understanding of why least-privilege matters
- Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless troubleshooting
- Windows desktop and server administration
- Ticketing systems, asset management, and a habit of documenting as you go
- Patient and clear with non-technical colleagues, since much of this role is working with research and sales rather than engineers
- Working English, since some coordination is with colleagues outside Indonesia
What We Offer
This is the foundation of a workplace IT function. As the company grows across locations, the role can develop toward IT operations more broadly, covering security, compliance and the systems the whole business runs on.
