Job summary

AME Group is seeking an IT Support professional to own the workplace IT environment as the company grows. You will manage staff VDE, access, devices and security controls while delivering first-line support across research, sales and technology.

The role requires independent queue management, strong Microsoft 365 administration knowledge and experience working in a professional office setting with geographically dispersed staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in IT Support, Helpdesk or Systems Administration.
• Experience supporting a professional office environment, ideally with staff in more than one country.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Able to work independently and manage your own queue.

Responsibilities

• Own the staff virtual desktop environment: provisioning, access, performance and availability
• Manage permissions and shared resources, applying least-privilege as standard practice
• Support the transition from the current desktop setup to laptops, keeping security controls in place
• Provide first-line support across research, sales and technology, resolving issues or escalating them cleanly
• Manage the ticket queue, so requests are visible, prioritized and closed
• Look after the office network, meeting room technology, printers and shared equipment
• Own device lifecycle: procurement, provisioning, maintenance, refresh and secure disposal
• Manage endpoints through Intune or similar: enrolment, compliance policies, patching and remote wipe
• Own identity and access: account creation, group membership, permissions and offboarding
• Apply multi-factor authentication and conditional access within the security model set by the infrastructure team
• Make sure new starters have a working environment and the right access on day one, and that leavers lose access the same day
• Own asset and license management: hardware lifecycle, warranty tracking, software license compliance and seat counts
• Write and maintain runbooks and self-service documentation
• Track recurring issues and fix the cause rather than the symptom
• Manage vendors: renewals, support contracts and spend visibility
