Gandhi Group is looking for a versatile and solution-oriented IT Specialist to manage and support the school's overall IT operations, including IT systems, applications, hardware, software, network infrastructure, user support, data management, and technology-related services.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage both day-to-day IT support and the school's broader technology systems. The candidate will work closely with management and different departments to ensure that all IT systems and technology solutions operate effectively, securely, and efficiently.
Manage and maintain the school's overall IT systems, applications, hardware, software, and technology infrastructure.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for teachers, staff, students, and management.
Manage and support school management systems, HR/payroll systems, accounting/finance systems, learning platforms, communication platforms, and other applications used by the school.
Manage user accounts, access rights, permissions, passwords, and system access.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, routers, switches, and related systems.
Monitor the performance, availability, and security of IT systems and applications.
Coordinate with system/application vendors for implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support.
Assist departments in identifying suitable technology solutions to improve work processes and efficiency.
Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of new IT systems and applications.
Maintain and monitor data backup, data security, system recovery, and access control.
Assist in managing and troubleshooting CCTV, access control, biometric attendance systems, and other technology-based facilities.
Ensure software, systems, and IT equipment are properly maintained and updated.
Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, system documentation, and maintenance records.
Identify recurring technical issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Assist with IT-related projects, system upgrades, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Provide technical support for school events, meetings, examinations, presentations, and other activities when required.
Ensure appropriate IT security, confidentiality, and data protection practices are implemented.
Develop basic IT procedures and user guidelines where necessary.
Perform other IT and technology-related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT support, IT systems, system administration, or a similar position.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, hardware, applications, and troubleshooting.
Experience managing and supporting business or organizational systems/applications.
Good understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.
Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud-based applications, and other business applications.
Good understanding of user management, access control, data backup, and IT security.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to understand different departments' technology needs and provide practical solutions.
Experience coordinating with external IT vendors and software providers.
Experience with school management systems, ERP, HR/payroll systems, accounting systems, or learning management systems is an advantage.
Experience with CCTV, biometric attendance, access control, or other integrated systems is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and organized.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to manage multiple IT issues and priorities effectively.
Willing to provide support outside regular working hours when required for urgent issues or school events.
Experience in a school or educational institution is an advantage.
Good command of English, both written and spoken, is preferred.
IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft, MTCNA, or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience with system administration and application management.
Experience with system integration and implementation.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection.
Experience managing IT systems in a school, campus, or other educational institution.
