Job summary

PT Samudera Caraka Jasa is seeking a Business Development professional to identify and win new freight forwarding clients on the Indonesia–USA lane. You will craft strategies to grow sea/air/multimodal volumes and lead proposals and pricing discussions with overseas partners.

You will also manage key accounts, resolve service issues, monitor market trends, and coordinate with operations and finance to optimize revenue and customer satisfaction across time zones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in business development within freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping.
• Strong understanding of international freight forwarding processes and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients requiring freight forwarding services on the Indonesia–USA trade lane.
• Develop and execute a structured sales strategy to grow sea freight, air freight, and multimodal shipment volumes on the USA corridor.
• Conduct cold calling, field visits, networking, and industry events to generate new business leads.
• Prepare and present competitive proposals, rate quotations, and service solutions tailored to client needs on the USA trade lane.
• Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing with clients and overseas agents/partners.
• Monitor and achieve monthly and annual sales targets for USA shipment volumes and revenue.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients shipping to/from the USA, ensure high service satisfaction and loyalty.
