The Cakap Group (TCG) is a licensed hospitality management and restaurant consulting company in Indonesia with an 11-year history of success. We design, launch, and manage a diverse portfolio of prestigious projects, ranging from boutique hotels and luxury resorts to restaurants and luxury yachts. With over 150 successful projects and 800+ employees recruited, we offer a stable, dynamic, and internationally standardized working environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, supported by our state-of-the-art Research & Development (R&D) kitchen and modern training facilities in Bali. Join us to accelerate your career and be part of an exceptional team that transforms ambitious visions into world-class hospitality experiences.

About the Client:

Boy N Cow is a distinctive restaurant concept in Bali, known for its bold culinary identity, quality ingredients, and vibrant dining experience. Operating within Bali’s dynamic and competitive hospitality industry, the restaurant is committed to delivering high standards across food quality, service, guest experience, and daily operations. As the business continues to grow and strengthen its team, Boy N Cow is focused on building a professional, positive, and well-structured working environment where employees can perform, develop, and grow with the business. The HR Manager will play an important role in supporting this growth by establishing strong HR practices, strengthening employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and developing a people-focused culture that reflects the restaurant’s values and operational standards.

What You Will Contribute:

As the HR Manager for Boy N Cow, your core contribution is building and running the restaurant’s human resources function end-to-end — from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, and employee relations.

Working closely with Boy N Cow’s management team and The Cakap Group, you will help create a structured, compliant, and people-first workplace that supports the restaurant’s service standards, employee experience, and business growth.

What You Will Do:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for all restaurant positions, from job postings through interviews, selection, and offers.
  • Design and deliver structured onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support ongoing staffing needs.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including contracts, background checks, and documentation.
  • Partner with department heads to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely staffing.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Indonesian labor law, including employment contracts, BPJS, THR, mandatory reporting, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
  • Manage attendance, leave, overtime, employee status changes, and other HR administration processes.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update HR policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs.
  • Ensure HR documentation and practices are consistently implemented across the restaurant.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities, external vendors, and service providers when required.
  • Calculate and administer monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, incentives, and other payroll components.
  • Verify payroll calculations against attendance, leave, overtime, and approved employee changes before payroll processing.
  • Coordinate payroll processing with Finance and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare payroll-related reports and documentation.
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits in accordance with company policies, employment agreements, and applicable regulations.
  • Manage statutory benefits and employee programs, including BPJS Health and Employment and Religious Holiday Allowance (THR).
  • Coordinate employee benefits such as meal allowances, incentives, and other applicable allowances or benefits.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding salary, payroll, deductions, benefits, and other compensation matters.
  • Monitor compensation and benefits practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and appropriate confidentiality.
  • Support management in reviewing compensation structures and benefits as the business grows.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and engaged workplace culture.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communications.
  • Support conflict resolution and mediate workplace issues fairly and promptly.
  • Handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate documentation.
  • Promote positive employee relations and a strong sense of teamwork across departments.

Performance & Training Coordination

  • Implement performance review cycles and support managers in setting goals and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate service, safety, compliance, and operational training sessions.
  • Track staff development, certifications, and career progression.
  • Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing employee improvement plans where required.
  • Partner with The Cakap Group’s training team on SOP rollout, service standards, and employee development initiatives as needed.

HR Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare regular HR reports on headcount, turnover, attendance, overtime, payroll, compensation and benefits, and other key people metrics.
  • Provide management with relevant HR data and insights to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Represent Boy N Cow professionally in dealings with the Manpower Office, BPJS, vendors, and auditors.
  • Provide regular updates to ownership/management and The Cakap Group on HR initiatives, employee matters, compliance, and key HR issues.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration between Boy N Cow management and The Cakap Group’s HR and support teams.
