Job summary

PT Matahari Leisure seeks an HSE & Continuous Improvement Officer to implement health and safety programs, perform risk assessments, inspect facilities, and lead continuous improvement projects across the organization. The role requires a strong background in HSE within manufacturing and a practical approach to safeguarding workers.

You will train staff on PPE usage, manage emergency response plans, oversee LOTO and machine guarding, coordinate environmental monitoring, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 degree in Industrial Engineering or HSE.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in HSE field, preferably from Manufacturing.
• General AK3 Certificate and License.
• Six Sigma Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute occupational safety programs across all company areas.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, machinery, warehouses, and workshops.
• Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and determine risk control measures.
• Monitor and report workplace accidents and near misses; conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure PPE usage, inspect PPE, and educate on proper PPE usage.
• Provide HSE training and safety inductions for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine guarding.
• Prepare and test emergency response procedures and conduct emergency simulations.
• Manage storage and safe handling of hazardous chemicals and ensure SDS availability.
• Monitor environmental factors such as noise, dust, heat, lighting, and chemical exposure.

S1 degree in Industrial Engineering or HSE

Six Sigma Certification

Job description

HSE & Continuous Improvement Officer responsible for implementing health and safety programs, conducting inspections, performing risk assessments, investigating accidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Key responsibilities

Implement and execute occupational safety programs, ensuring application of HSE policies and procedures across all company areas

Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, machinery, warehouses, workshops, and other facilities to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts

Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and determine risk control measures according to HSE principles

Monitor and report workplace accidents and near misses, conduct root cause investigations, and develop corrective and preventive actions

Ensure workers use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately, inspect PPE condition and suitability, and provide education on correct PPE usage

Provide HSE training to employees, conduct safety induction for new employees, contractors and visitors, and deliver toolbox meetings and safety briefings

Ensure machinery has adequate machine guarding and safety systems, oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance, and ensure equipment is used according to procedures

Prepare and test emergency response procedures, manage emergency simulations, and ensure fire extinguishers, evacuation routes, emergency exits, and emergency facilities are available and functional

Oversee storage and use of hazardous chemicals, ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available, and ensure workers understand risks and handling procedures

Monitor workplace environmental factors such as noise, dust, heat, lighting, vibration, and chemical exposure; coordinate with relevant parties for workplace environmental measurements

About you

Minimum S1 degree in Industrial Engineering or HSE

Minimum 3 years work experience in HSE field, preferably from Manufacturing

General AK3 Certificate and License
