Job summary

PT Legrand Indonesia is seeking a Health and Safety, Environment Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, deliver training, and monitor environmental performance across manufacturing sites.

• Kemnaker-certified First Aid (P3K) certificate is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

The Health and Safety, Environment Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards within the organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment while minimizing environmental impact.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and implement health and safety, environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Organize and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.

Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, ensuring proper reporting and implementation of corrective actions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

Monitor waste management practices, including recycling programs and disposal of hazardous materials.

Promote sustainability initiatives and environmentally friendly practices within the organization.

Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.

Prepare and present regular reports to management on health, safety, and environmental performance.

Act as a point of contact during emergencies, coordinating response efforts and liaising with external agencies if necessary.

Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness.

Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, contractors, and community groups, to ensure compliance and address any concerns.

Role Requirements

Diploma/bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, SMK3 Umum) are a plus.

Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in industrial/manufacturing.

Candidates with a valid Kemnaker-certified First Aid (P3K) certificate are preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
