Job summary

PT. Huabao Food Technology Indonesia seeks a proactive HSE Officer to develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies for a food manufacturing facility in Indonesia. The role covers inspections, incident investigations, and training for employees and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HSE experience, a K3 general certification, and strong communication in English; Mandarin is a plus. Willingness to be placed in Cikarang, Bekasi is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of proven HSE experience in food/manufacturing.
• Active Ahli K3 Umum (Kemnaker) certification is required; additional First Aider/Fire Fighter/SMK3 auditor is a plus.
• Experience with JSA, risk assessment, and RCA is essential.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Professional English proficiency; Mandarin is an advantage.

• Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits for regulatory compliance and improvements.
• Lead incident investigations (near-misses included) to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Oversee environmental compliance including hazardous waste handling and emission controls.
• Manage and update all HSE logs, incident reports, and compliance records.

Lead incident investigations (including near-misses) to identify root causes and roll out effective preventive measures.

Lead toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and HSE training for employees & contractors

Oversee environmental compliance, including hazardous waste handling, emission controls, and pollution prevention.

Manage and update all HSE logs, incident reports, compliance records, and documentation.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as an HSE Officer or in a similar health, safety, and environmental role, preferably within the food manufacturing/FMCG industry

Mandatory Certification:

Active Ahli K3 Umum (Kemnaker) certification. Preferred Certifications: First Aider, Fire Fighter, or SMK3 Internal Auditor is a strong advantage.

Solid track record in job safety analysis (JSA), risk assessment, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Strong communication skills with a practical, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Professional English proficiency (written and spoken). Mandarin language skills will be advantage

Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working both independently and alongside cross-functional teams.
