Job summary

PT Matahari Leisure is seeking an Electrical Engineer / R&D / Manufacturing to bridge R&D electrical engineering with manufacturing operations.

You will design and maintain wire harnesses using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor, troubleshoot electromechanical issues on the factory floor, and help ensure reliable, repeatable production transfers with DFx considerations. Strong embedded familiarity and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in de-bug troubleshooting prototype systems.
• Hands-on experience with test & measurement tools (oscilloscope, multimeter).
• Able to read technical instructions, follow procedures, and give feedback.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering with exposure to embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the bridge between R&D Electrical Engineers and Manufacturing teams.
• Work with Hardware Team to ensure subsystem integration and system functionality.
• Support wire harnessing assembly activities at the factory, including routing, assembly, and documentation.
• Use AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor to create and maintain wire harness designs and production docs.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical issues arising during manufacturing and provide structured feedback.
• Create and maintain work processes and work instructions.
• Track production issues to ensure reliable and consistent product build.
• Perform hands-on electrical and electromechanical work including schematics, wiring, mechanical assembly, testing, and fault isolation.
• Use EE test equipment to debug PCBA and electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform safety tests on production and prototype machines.
• Support software and firmware programming, debugging on production units.
• Apply DFM/DFT principles to support smooth product transfer.
• Maintain version control for project files.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the support bridge between R&D Electrical Engineers and Manufacturing teams.

Work with Hardware Team ensuring sub system integration & proper system functionality.

Support wire harnessing assembly activities at the factory, including routing, assembly, and documentation.

Troubleshoot electromechanical issues arising during the manufacturing process, and provide clear, structured feedback to R&D.

Create maintain, update work process and work instructions.

Track production issues and ensure product is built reliably and consistently.

Perform hands-on electrical and electromechanical work including:

Reading and interpreting schematics

Wire stripping and crimping

Mechanical assembly

Testing and fault isolation

Use electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc), to debug EE PCBA and Electro-Mechanical systems.

Perform safety tests (Hi-Pot, Ground bond, etc) on production and prototype machines.

Support software and firmware programming, , and debugging on production units.

Apply DFM/DFT principles and manufacturing process knowledge to support smooth product transfer.

Use PCs and programming tools to execute test and programming steps accurately according to structured work instructions.

Maintain versioning control system for project files.

Requirements

5+ Years experience in De-bug troubleshooting prototype systems.

Hands-on experience with test & measurement tools (oscilloscope, multi-meter).

Able to read technical instructions, follow procedures, and give clear, concise feedback.

Fluent in English (spoken & written).

Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals / Best Practice / with exposure to embedded systems and related electro-mechanical hardware, preferably STM32, NXP IMX , Arduino, ESP or Microchip.

Comfortable using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor for harness routing.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.

Familiar with MCU programming, firmware downloads, and debugging tools.

Team player with a practical, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently on the factory floor.
