Job summary

PT Media Indonusa (Jakarta) is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop scalable, secure applications aligned with business requirements. You will work across the full SDLC, integrating RESTful services, microservices, and databases within a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes secure coding, system integration, and a proactive approach to deployment, DevOps, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/SE or related field required.
• 5+ years in software development, system development, or similar tech role.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, architecture, and software engineering principles.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, and secure applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, system integration, and third-party services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system architecture to meet business requirements based on the product backlog.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications per specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, system development, or a related technology role.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), system architecture, and software engineering principles.

Experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and secure applications.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, database systems, system integration, and third-party services.

Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and a good understanding of database design.

Good understanding of secure coding practices, application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection.

Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and modern software development workflows.

Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes is preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating with Product, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.

Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Experience managing or coordinating system development projects is an advantage.

Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Design and develop system architecture to meet business requirements based on the assigned product backlog.

Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications in accordance with product specifications and business requirements.

Apply secure coding standards, software development best practices, and appropriate design patterns.

Integrate new systems and applications with existing infrastructure and third-party services.

Manage the deployment and release process to ensure smooth implementation and timely product delivery.

Provide ongoing maintenance, technical support, and continuous improvement for existing systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues efficiently to minimize business disruption.

Develop and maintain system documentation, development processes, technical guidelines, and user documentation.

Prepare technical reports covering service logic, system performance, development progress, and implementation status.

Collaborate closely with IT teams, Product teams, business units, and other stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions.

Ensure system design and development remain aligned with product objectives, business requirements, and technical standards.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, software engineering practices, and relevant industry trends.

Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve system capabilities, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Ensure systems comply with applicable industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.

Implement appropriate security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure data confidentiality and integrity.

Manage system development projects from initiation through completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.

Ensure development projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope, quality standards, and budget.
