Job summary

ACL Group in Batam–Singapore–Johor triangle is seeking a driven Sales Manager to develop and grow our freight forwarding business. This hands-on hunting role requires initiative, strong customer engagement, and a results-oriented mindset.

You will secure free hand business across sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, and trucking, build a regional sales pipeline, travel to Singapore and Johor, and collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping.
• Knowledge of FCL/LCL and cross-border logistics is preferred.
• Hunter mentality with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Sell free hand business in sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, and trucking services, covering both FCL and LCL shipments.
• Develop and grow international freight forwarding business as well as regional cross-border business among Batam, Singapore, and Johor.
• Take initiative to proactively reach out to new and existing customers to promote the full range of ACL Group solutions.
• Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets set by management.
• Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls, and presentations across the coverage area, travelling to Singapore and Johor as required.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on enquiries, and negotiate rates and terms with customers in coordination with internal teams.
• Work closely with operations, customer service, and pricing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for secured accounts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs; provide feedback and sales reports to management.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer information.
