Job summary

Milk & Madu Group (Bali) is seeking an experienced Floor Captain to join the team for the new opening of The Common Uluwatu in Bali. You will support pre-opening preparations and oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure service excellence.

You will lead the service team, conduct pre-shift briefings, maintain standards and guest experience, and collaborate with Kitchen, Bar, Host and Management. The role requires strong leadership, good English, and flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of restaurant/hospitality operations experience.
• Experience as Floor Captain or senior waiter/waitress.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and guest-service skills.
• Good knowledge of F&B service standards.
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of English is preferred.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-opening preparation, mock service, soft opening, and launch operations.
• Lead and coordinate the service team during daily operations.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure team readiness.
• Maintain service standards, SOPs, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation.
• Ensure excellent guest experience and handle guest requests or concerns.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar, Host, and Management teams.
• Assist with team training, coaching, and onboarding.
• Monitor staff grooming, attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational checks.
