Job summary

Indesso in Central Jakarta (Head Office) is seeking an experienced Export Supervisor to oversee OPEX, control export costs, and support shipment profitability. The role includes end-to-end export management from booking to delivery and coordinating the Export team across departments.

The candidate should have 6+ years in export logistics, strong SAP/MS Excel skills, and fluent English, with deep knowledge of export documents and international trade regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor OPEX and control export costs.
• Negotiate freight rates and monitor shipping costs for cost efficiency.
• Oversee end-to-end export process from booking to shipment delivery.
• Coordinate and supervise Export team (Customer Service, Documentation, Operations).
• Prepare KPI reports (OTD, lead time, shipment volume, profitability, customer satisfaction).
• Develop and improve export SOPs and coach the team.
• Prepare DOs based on SOs and coordinate with forwarding agents and warehouse.
• Verify export documentation (Packing List, Invoice, B/L/AWB, CO, COA, Marine Cargo Insurance).
• Review draft B/L and ensure accuracy with forwarding agents and Customs.
• Submit export docs for customer collection through banks and courier delivery.

Job description

Prepare and monitor OPEX, control export operational costs, and support shipment profitability improvement.

Negotiate freight rates periodically and monitor shipping costs to ensure cost efficiency.

Oversee the end-to-end export process, from booking to shipment delivery, including vessel/flight schedules, space availability, rollover, and delays.

Coordinate and supervise the Export team, including Customer Service, Documentation, and Operations.

Prepare and monitor operational KPI reports, including OTD, lead time, shipment volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Develop and improve export SOPs, provide coaching, and evaluate team performance.

Prepare Delivery Orders (DO) based on Sales Orders (SO) and coordinate shipping instructions with forwarding agents and Warehouse.

Prepare and verify export documentation, including Packing List, Invoice, PEB, B/L or AWB, Certificate of Origin/GSP, Certificate of Analysis, and Marine Cargo Insurance documents.

Review draft B/L and ensure the accuracy and completeness of export documents in coordination with forwarding agents and Customs.

Prepare and submit required export documents for customer collection through banks and coordinate document delivery via courier services.

Prepare prior notice and pre-shipment advice for customers, particularly shipments to the USA.

Maintain proper documentation and records of export transactions and process payment requests for export-related charges.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.

Minimum 6 years of experience as an Export Supervisor or in a similar export logistics role.

Familiar with SAP and Microsoft Office applications, especially Ms. Excel.

Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping processes, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Honest, disciplined, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
