Job summary

PT. Star Shipping Indonesia is seeking a Support Sales Executive to manage day-to-day client communications, prepare materials for meetings, and maintain agreements and rate sheets. The role requires strong English, analytical thinking, and 2+ years in shipping sales or freight forwarding.

You will act as the internal focal point for customer enquiries, handle calls and emails, and assist with ad-hoc duties across the sales team in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years experience in Shipping Line sales or freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of shipping line business.
• Excellent communication skills; English required.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales Executive on a day-to-day basis and act as the internal focal point for customer communications and administrative tasks; follow up on quotations and sales inquiries via phone and email.
• Handle incoming calls and emails; redirect enquiries to the appropriate teams.
• Schedule and prepare materials for Sales Executive to use in customer meetings.
• Create or update agreements and tenders in the system and circulate them to relevant parties.
• Create rate sheets for each specific trade; monitor market rates and space forecasts weekly.
• Address client complaints, coordinate with the relevant departments to resolve issues.
• Assist with any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by Sales Executive, Sales Manager, Trade Manager and Country Sales Manager.

Support Sales Executive on day-to-day basis and act as internal focal point of customers’ contacton administrative work, follow up on quotation and sales enquiries with phone call and email

Attending phone calls, handling incoming emailsand re-directing all relevant enquiries

Schedule and prepare materials to support Sales Executive for customer meetings

Create/update agreements and tenders in the respective system and communicate them to concerned parties

Creating Rate Sheet in each of Particular Trades, updating the market rate situation and space forecast on weekly basis

Attend to client complaints, follow up for solutions and coordinate with relevant departmentto solve the issue

Support on any other ad-hoc duties as assignedby Sales Executive, Sales Manager, Trade Manager and Country Sales Manager.

Job Requirement:

Hold a bachelor's degree.

Min. 2 year's experiences as Shipping Line sales or freight forwarder

Possess good understanding in shipping line business.

Excellent Communication Skill, English is a must.

Excellent interpersonal skills and able to handle rejection.
