Job summary

Explera DMC is seeking freelance Exhibition Representatives in Jakarta to staff our stand at travel trade shows. Work is event-based, typically 3–5 days per event, with daily pay and no minimum commitment.

Representatives greet visitors, qualify leads, capture contact details, and hand over leads to the sales team. You must be based near Jakarta, legally able to work as a freelancer in Indonesia, and available for every day of confirmed events.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience at exhibitions, trade shows, events, hospitality or sales.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and good spoken English.
• Legally able to work as a freelancer in Indonesia and to invoice for your fee, or work through an agency.
• Based in or near Jakarta, or able to reach the venue each day at your own arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Before the event: join a briefing, learn products, help with stand setup when needed.
• On the stand: welcome visitors, qualify leads, book meetings, hand over leads to the sales team, keep stand tidy.
• After each day: share a short daily summary, hand over leads the same day to enable quick follow-up.

Role overview

Explera exhibits at travel trade shows around the world to meet travel agents, tour operators and MICE planners. We are building a pool of freelance Exhibition Representatives in Jakarta who can staff our stand and represent Explera for the length of each event, usually 3 to 5 days including set-up.

This is freelance work booked event by event. We share each event's dates, venue, hours and daily fee in advance, and you accept the events that suit you. Once you confirm an event, we count on you for every day of it.

Key responsibilities

1. Before the event

• Join a short online briefing on Explera, our destinations across Asia and the event goals
• Learn the key products, brochures and the questions visitors usually ask
• Help with stand set-up on the first day when needed

2. On the stand

• Welcome visitors, start conversations and explain what Explera offers travel trade partners
• Qualify leads and capture contact details with the badge scanner or lead form we provide
• Book meetings for the Explera sales team and pass on detailed price or product questions
• Keep the stand tidy and stocked, and present Explera professionally all day

3. After each day

• Share a short daily summary: number of leads, notable contacts and follow-ups promised
• Hand over every lead the same day so the sales team can follow up quickly

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience at exhibitions, trade shows, events, hospitality or sales; travel industry experience is a plus
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and good spoken English
• Confident and friendly with visitors, including starting conversations with people walking past
• Available for every day of an event once confirmed (usually 3 to 5 days, including set-up)
• Legally able to work as a freelancer in Indonesia and to invoice for your fee, or work through an agency
• Based in or near Jakarta, or able to reach the venue each day at your own arrangement
