Job summary

Jakarta Marriott is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to lead daily pastry operations at the Jakarta Pusat property. You will be accountable for quality, sanitation, and on-budget pastry production for all outlets, while developing talents and ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will oversee pastry shifts, supervise staff, and contribute to menu design and decorative displays. A culinary degree and pastry leadership experience are required to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year culinary degree in Culinary Arts, hotel and restaurant management, or related field.
• 4 years of culinary/f&B experience, with pastry leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages pastry staff; understands roles to cover absences.
• Oversees pastry preparation shifts and maintains high-quality pastry output.
• Ensures sanitation, safety, and proper food-handling standards across pastry operations.
• Assists with menu development and decorative pastry displays; leads by example.
