Job summary

SmartDev is seeking a Business Development Manager who can translate AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes, identify enterprise opportunities, and close complex AI solutions in the APAC region. This is a hybrid role requiring both strategic selling to CTOs/CDOs and hands-on execution.

You will build a robust AI pipeline, craft ROI cases for CMOs and drive multi-stakeholder deals with tier-1 clients, collaborating with Solution Architects and Marketing to develop compelling collateral

Qualifications

5+ years in B2B solution sales or business development, with at least 2 years selling AI, ML, or data science services.
Proven track record closing five-figure to six-figure solution deals (not just SaaS licenses).
Ability to articulate AI concepts (supervised vs. unsupervised learning, token pricing, fine-tuning).
Experience selling to a mix of technical (CTO, CDO) and business (COO, GM) personas.
Hunter mentality – comfortable with cold outreach, relationship mapping, and negotiation.

Responsibilities

Identify and target enterprise accounts across the APAC region.
Build a 12-month pipeline in AI solution opportunities.
Lead consultative discovery mapping client pain points to AI solution blueprints.
Structure and negotiate complex contracts (POCs, pilot-to-production, managed services).
Develop strategic partnerships with SI partners, cloud providers, and tech vendors.
Collaborate with Solution Architects to scope feasibility and efforts.
