Job summary

WIK - ELEKTROGERÄTE Entwicklungs- und Service-GmbH & Co. KG seeks an experienced molding/production specialist to refine molding processes, manage development teams, and ensure high-quality output.

• Diploma or higher in mechanical or polymers with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience operating injection molding machines and mold design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify root causes.
• Experience implementing tooling and molding process improvements and using PDCA.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and refines molding process parameters for new and existing products with customers.
• Lead and manage the development team to optimize performance and knowledge transfer.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes and perform QA checks during development.
• Diagnose and resolve daily production issues; support mold trials and manufacturability of designs.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; lead root cause analysis for molding issues.
• Participate in internal continuous improvement and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Your Tasks

• Establishes and refines molding process parameters for new and existing products to ensure efficiency, stability, and high-quality output. Working closely with customers to define projects objectives, outline deliverables, and establish realistic timelines.
• Effectively managing the development team, fostering a collaborative environment and optimizing team performance and also imparting skills and expertise.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain product excellence and conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks at various stages of development.
• Diagnoses and resolve daily production problems, including issues with materials, equipment’s and process setting and supports the launch of new products by leading mold trial runs and ensuring new designs are manufacturable.
• Anticipate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Work to minimize disruptions and ensure projects progress remains on track and lead root causes analysis and corrective actions for molding/tooling related issues.
• Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Your Profile

• Diploma and above in mechanical and polymers fields and minimum 3 years’ experience in the same position in manufacturing.
• Must have good skills in handling injection molding machine, mold design experiences, manufacturing principles like scientific molding and able to trouble-shooting molding related issues such as short mold, discoloration etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes.
• Implement effective solutions. Implement and monitor tooling and molding processes performance metrics to drive continuous improvements, able to use PDCA to identify the problem, familiar with DFM, Fish-bone chart to identify the root causes of problems and able to handle some tooling related issues.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, solid skill for Microsoft office and good attitude, adaptability to company culture, teamwork spirit and influence skills, and seek continuous improvement, active listening, presentation skills.
