Job summary

Formulatrix Indonesia is seeking an Injection Tooling Engineer to drive R&D of plastic components within the Mechanical Engineering Division. You will conduct tooling research, maintain quality, and support new product tooling launches through milestones.

Requirements include a Diploma in engineering, 2+ years in molding and tooling, Moldflow experience, and DoE/IQ/OQ/PQ validation. Position is based in Salatiga with a strong emphasis on collaboration and precision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, tooling, and product development.
• Experience in plastic molding and tooling engineering.
• Experience with Moldflow Simulation and Analysis.
• Experience with DoE and IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and fast learning.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Willing to work in Salatiga.

We are looking for an Injection Tooling Engineer under the Mechanical Engineering Division. You will be responsible for conducting the research and development of our plastic and consumable components.

Job Description

• Maintain quality standards on all products to ensure manufacturing with zero defect methodology, along with required process documentation.
• Identify lean and continuous improvement to existing processes and tooling related to current product lines with regard to cost, quality, and/or design.
• Identify and investigate potential new tooling concepts and processes.
• Analyze Moldflow simulation results, implement the solution in a new mold, define the molding process window, and make injection setting parameters based on scientific calculation.
• Manage the technical part and mold tuning loops from Off Tool to Initial samples and manage the molding DoE.
• Provide support on new product tooling launch and process at each milestone through production, providing the manufacturing and engineering inputs for the development of new processes, parts, and tooling.
• Define and implement measurable improvements in materials, designs, and processes.
• Define and duplicate the process window to ensure reliable and robust part validation and production.

Requirements

• Candidates must have at least a Diploma degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least have 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, tooling, and product development experience.
• Have experience in plastic molding and tooling engineering.
• Have experience with Autodesk Moldflow Simulation and Analysis.
• Have experience with the Design of Experiments (DoE) and validation protocol (IQ, OQ, and PQ).
• Accurate, high attention-to-detail, tactful, a fast learner and highly organized is a must.
• Proactive and persistent team player with a strong passion for collaborative design.
• Have good interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Have superb creativity, logic, vision, and problem-solving skills.
• Have good communication skills in English, oral and written.
• Willing to work in Salatiga.
