Job summary

Pengiklan Anonim is seeking an Engineering professional to develop mold concepts and injection process equipment concepts, manage cost estimations, and oversee full lifecycle from design to production support. The role includes design reviews, procurement oversight, mold trials, and continuous improvement initiatives in injection molding.

You will work with CAD tools, read drawings, and coordinate with QA. A D3 in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in plastics/mold is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3 in Mechanical Engineering or Tooling Design Engineering.
• 3+ years in plastic injection molding or mold development.
• Ability to read technical drawings and dimensional reports.
• Familiar with quality tools: 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA or APQP.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop mold concepts and other injection process equipment concepts to support cost calculations during RFIs and RFQs.
• Prepare cost estimations for molds and other injection process equipment to support cost calculations during RFI and RFQ activities.
• Create mold specifications for new molds.
• Conduct design reviews for mold drawings submitted by mold makers.
• Manage the procurement and ordering process for molds and other equipment required for new projects.
• Conduct new mold trials both internally and jointly with mold makers.
• Support the installation and commissioning of injection process equipment.
• Coordinate with Quality Measurement during mold development and prepare modification instructions based on results.
• Prepare mold adjustment and modification plans based on dimensional measurement results.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the injection molding process, such as cycle time reduction and quality improvement.

Job description

This role involves developing mold concepts and injection process equipment concepts, preparing cost estimations, and managing the full lifecycle of mold development from design through to production support. You will conduct design reviews, manage procurement, oversee mold trials, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the injection molding process.

Key responsibilities

Develop mold concepts and other injection process equipment concepts to support cost calculations during the RFI and RFQ stages

Prepare cost estimations for molds and other injection process equipment to support cost calculations during RFI and RFQ activities

Create mold specifications for new molds

Conduct design reviews for mold drawings submitted by mold makers

Manage the procurement and ordering process for molds and other equipment required for new projects

Conduct new mold trials both internally and jointly with mold makers

Support the installation and commissioning of injection process equipment

Coordinate with the Quality Measurement team during mold development and prepare mold modification instructions based on measurement results

Prepare mold adjustment and modification plans based on dimensional measurement results

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the injection molding process, such as cycle time reduction, productivity enhancement, quality improvement, and cost optimization

About you

Minimum D3 in Mechanical Engineering, or Tooling Design Engineering, or related Technical Engineering

Minimum 3 years experience in plastic injection molding process and/or mold development

Good understanding of injection molding process, mold structure, and plastic part quality issues

Experienced in mold trial, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities

Able to read technical drawings and dimensional measurement reports

Familiar with quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, or APQP

Good communication and coordination skills

Able to communicate in English (written and spoken)

Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.)

Experience in automotive industry is most preferable
