Job summary

PT Perfect Companion Group is seeking an Electrical & Mechanical - Preventive Maintenance Technician for our Modern Cikande Industrial Estate site in Serang, Banten, West Java. The role covers planned PM, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and issue troubleshooting to improve equipment reliability and safety.

The candidate will read drawings, work with PLC/HMI/VFD, and follow 5S, LOTO, and PTW procedures while supporting continuous improvement and safe operations in our food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or SMK in Electrical/Mechanical welcome.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical & controls, pneumatics, hydraulics and maintenance concepts.
• Experience in automation is a plus; familiar with PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings and P&ID.
• Familiar with LOTO, PTW, machine guarding, and safe maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of RCA, 5-Why, 5S and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance according to schedule, SOP/WI and standards.
• Inspect equipment to identify wear, misalignment, vibration and other defects.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance: alignment, belt/chain tensioning, lubrication and bearings.
• Perform electrical maintenance: motors, sensors, PLCs, panels and interlocks.
• Troubleshoot problems, raise work orders and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain PM records, checklists and spare parts information in the system.
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance reliability and safety.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain hygiene in food manufacturing areas.
• Keep tools and work areas organized per 5S.

Electrical & Mechanical - Preventive Maintenance Technician

About the role

This role involves performing planned preventive maintenance according to schedule, standard operating procedures, and maintenance standards. You will inspect equipment to identify early defects, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot equipment problems, and support continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule, SOP/WI, and maintenance standards.
• Inspect equipment and identify early defects such as wear, looseness, misalignment, vibration, temperature issues, leakage, and contamination.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, including alignment, belt/chain tensioning, bearing inspection and lubrication, gearbox, rotating equipment, and fluid power systems.
• Perform electrical and control maintenance, including motors, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation, panels, wiring, and safety interlocks.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems, raise work orders, and coordinate with Production and related teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate PM records, checklists, spare parts information, documentation, and follow-up actions in the maintenance system.
• Support RCA/5-Why, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities to prevent recurring equipment problems.
• Ensure safe working practices by following LOTO, PTW, machine guarding, and working-at-height/hot-work requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to 5S and hygiene standards, especially in food manufacturing areas.
• Support equipment reliability, safety, and food safety by identifying and addressing maintenance risks.

Qualification

• Have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Vocational High School (SMK) in Electrical/Mechanical are welcome to apply.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical & controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, alignment, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Have experience in automation are welcome to apply.
• Familiar with PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors, instrumentation, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, and P&ID.
• Familiar with LOTO, PTW, machine guarding, and safe maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of RCA, 5-Why, Pareto analysis, 5S, hygiene, and basic data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, proactive, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
