A Cook Helper role supporting daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and service delivery under the supervision of the cook.

Key responsibilities

Assist the cook with daily food preparation and mise en place

Prepare ingredients and cooking supplies before service

Assist with cooking and assembling dishes under the cook's supervision

Follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen instructions carefully

Label and organize ingredients according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment

Wash dishes, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment as required

Assist with receiving deliveries, checking stock, and organizing storage areas

Help minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently

Follow food safety procedures and company standards at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Cook Helper or Kitchen Staff (minimum 1 year)

Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene

Able to follow instructions and work according to established procedures

Hardworking, disciplined, honest, and detail-oriented

Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
