Job summary

PT Samindo Resources Tbk is seeking a Business Development Manager (Plantation) in South Jakarta to drive growth through upstream palm plantation deals and downstream biofuel opportunities. You will identify opportunities, conduct market analyses, and structure investments while coordinating with partners and investors.

Ideal candidates have extensive palm industry exposure, 13+ years of relevant experience, strong English, and proven financial modelling and deal-writing capabilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source and lead due diligence on plantation deals (land due diligence, land legality, FFB yield, CPO output).
• Identify business development opportunities and conduct market analysis.
• Review investment structures and deal structuring options.

• Build financial models (DCF, IRR/NPV) and risk assessments.
• Write investment memos, deal reports, and JV proposals in business English.

Business Development Manager (Plantation)

About the role As Business Development Manager at PT Samindo Resources Tbk, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion. You will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives with primarily upstream palm plantation deals plus downstream biofuel opportunities such as POME, UCO, SAF feedstock. This full-time position is located in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

• Source and lead due diligence on plantation deals (acquisition, etc) such as land due diligence, land legality, FFB yield, CPO output, estate quality
• Identify business development opportunities and conduct market analysis
• Review investment structures and deal structuring options
• Coordinate with business partners and stakeholders
• Build financial models (DCF, IRR/NPV) and risk assessments
• Write investment memos, deal reports, and JV proposals in business English
• Coordinate partner and co-investor relationships

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in English (oral & written) is a must.
• Minimum 13 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the palm and palm-related sectors.
• Minimum 5 years of investment experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field, from reputable university.
• Strong skills in risk analysis, report writing, and DCF/financial modelling.
• Strong ability to identify and capture new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge on Indonesian land law.
• Willing to take business trip as required.
