Job summary

PT Samindo Resources Tbk is seeking an Assistant Manager – Internal Audit to support the Internal Audit Manager in executing risk-based audit activities across the company and subsidiaries. The role involves leading fieldwork, supervising audit staff, and ensuring timely delivery of engagements to professional standards.

The position is full-time and based in South Jakarta, requiring strong English communication, an accounting/finance background, and extensive audit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Total work experience of at least 8 years with at least 4 years in internal or external audit.
• Big 4 experience preferred; CPA/CIA/CA or equivalent preferred.

About the role

As the Assistant Manager – Internal Audit at PT Samindo Resources Tbk, you will support the Internal Audit Manager in executing risk-based audit activities across the company and its subsidiaries. You will be responsible for leading audit fieldwork, supervising audit team members and ensuring audit engagements are delivered on time and in accordance with professional standards.

This full-time position is based in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in preparing and executing the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
• Lead audit fieldwork, including process walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis, and documentation.
• Identify control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and compliance issues.
• Prepare draft audit reports with clear findings, root cause analysis, and practical recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on corrective action plans from audited departments.
• Supervise and review the work of audit staff/senior auditors.
• Support audit assignments across subsidiaries and coordinate with respective PICs.
• Ensure audit working papers comply with internal audit methodology and documentation standards.
• Support special audits, investigations and ad-hoc reviews as required by Management.

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in English (oral & written) is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Total working experience at least 8 years with at least 4 years’ experience on internal audit / external audit.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, CIA, CA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment and audit techniques.
• Experience leading audit fieldwork and managing small audit teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Good report writing skills with structured and concise documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and corporate governance practices.
