Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Jakarta is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to support the Sales Managers in technical meetings, gather all information to prepare proposals, and develop both technical and commercial elements tailored to customer bids.

You will identify vendors, evaluate offers, manage tender documentation, assess risks, and collaborate with Supply Chain. Strong English, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and at least five years in this field are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years in Sales Engineering or project control in transformer/substation domain.
Solid knowledge of substations and power market.
Experience in tender estimation, management, and risk analysis.
Strong time management, presentation, and planning skills; can explain technical info to non-technical customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce; good English communication.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to Sales during meetings and prepare technical and cost proposals.
Identify vendors, evaluate offers, and archive documentation.
Ensure tender docs include costs and assess risks in bids.
Contribute to Risk Review and coordinate inputs from related functions.
Report bid status and analyze reasons for wins/losses.
Coordinate with Supply Chain to handle subcontractor requests.
Ensure compliance with regulations and prepare post-order docs.
