Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Jakarta invites a qualified Sales Engineer with a strong background in power transformers and substations to drive service sales strategy, develop technical and commercial proposals, and monitor tender progress from concept to bid submission.

You will collaborate with Sales Managers, Supply Chain, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and delivering well-documented bids with clear risk and cost assessments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in Sales Engineering or project control related to transformer products, substations, LV/MV/HV switchgear.
• Solid knowledge of substations within the electrical power market.
• Experience in proposal estimation, tender management, and risk analysis.
• Time management, presentation, and planning skills; ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
• Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) & Salesforce.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids with technical and commercial elements and complete bid documents.
• Support Sales Managers during technical meetings and gather information for proposals.
• Identify potential vendors and evaluate supplier offers against specifications.
• Ensure tenders include full costs, risks, and detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with external/internal regulations and Hitachi Energy policies.
• Provide bid status updates and analyze win/loss reasons.
• Prepare post-order documentation and handed over processes.
