Job summary

Hitachi Energy Indonesia is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer/Project Control specialist to support bid development for transformer products, power substations and switchgear. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals, evaluate suppliers, and manage risk and costs.

Based in Jakarta, you will collaborate with sales, supply chain, and stakeholders, ensure tender documentation is complete, and maintain compliance with Hitachi Energy policies while delivering high-quality bids.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering or Project control related to transformer products, power substation, LV, MV and HV switchgear.
• Solid knowledge of substations within the electrical power market.
• Experience in proposal estimation, tender management, and risk analysis.
• Time management, presentation, and planning skills; ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
• Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) & Salesforce.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Good in English communication.
• Location – Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Sales Managers during meetings and prepare proposals (technical and commercial) based on customer specifications or budgets.
• Identify potential vendors for equipment/materials/services and evaluate supplier offers against specifications.
• Ensure tenders are well documented with full and accurate costs, and identify risks in bids and contracts.
• Participate in Risk Review procedures and ensure inputs from related functions are provided on time.
• Regularly report bid status and analyze reasons for wins/losses.
• Coordinate requests to subcontractors with Supply Chain Management.
• Prepare post-order documentation and ensure compliance with commercial processes.
