PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking a Head of Indonesia Operations – Logistics to establish and grow its Batam operations. The role requires leading local teams, building warehousing and distribution capabilities, and coordinating cross-border logistics with the China headquarters.

The ideal candidate will have extensive logistics leadership experience in Indonesia, strong relationships with manufacturing and government bodies, and fluency in Chinese and English with Bahasa Indonesia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics with at least 2 years in management.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian logistics market and regulations.
• Fluent Chinese and English; Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Batam.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment, development, and expansion of the company's Indonesia operations.
• Coordinate the local business structure, logistics qualifications, tax compliance, labor compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and manage local teams across operations, sales, customer service, and other relevant functions.
• Develop localized compensation structures, management systems, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
• Establish local warehousing and distribution capabilities and coordinate logistics services for Batam ecosystem.
• Develop new B2B clients within electronics manufacturing and related sectors across Indonesia.
• Build and maintain relationships with industrial parks, government authorities, and manufacturers.
• Develop logistics solutions for Chinese companies expanding manufacturing in Indonesia.
• Coordinate with China HQ to optimize cross-border sea and land routes.
• Oversee customs clearance, warehousing, domestic transport, and last‑mile delivery in Indonesia.
• Establish KPIs, reporting systems, and performance metrics for local ops.
• Provide regular reports to China headquarters and identify efficiency improvements.
