Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a senior logistics executive to lead Indonesia operations from Batam, establishing local structure, people, and processes for cross-border activities with China. You will drive warehousing, distribution, vendor management, and regulatory compliance to build a robust Indonesian network.

The role requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and the ability to develop new business with electronics manufacturers and logistics partners across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in logistics, with at least 2 years in team management.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian logistics market, regulations, and cross-border logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment, development and expansion of Indonesia operations.
• Coordinate local business structure, logistics qualifications, tax and labor compliance.
• Build and manage local teams across operations, sales, customer service, and other functions.
• Develop localized compensation structures, management systems, and reporting procedures.
• Establish warehousing and distribution capabilities and coordinate services supporting Batam ecosystem.
• Develop B2B relationships within electronics manufacturing and other sectors.
• Oversee customs clearance, warehousing, domestic transport and last-mile delivery in Indonesia.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations and risk-prevention measures.
• Source and manage local logistics suppliers, warehousing and transport partners.
• Collaborate with China headquarters to optimize cross-border routes.
