Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Head of Indonesia Operations – Logistics to lead the establishment and growth of our Indonesia arm in Batam. You will oversee local structuring, compliance, and team leadership across operations, sales, and support functions while coordinating with the China headquarters on cross-border routes.

The role requires deep knowledge of the Indonesian logistics market, FTZ/bonded areas experience, and strong business development skills to expand the electronics manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in logistics with 2+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian logistics market and regulations.
• Proven B2B business development and client relationship skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Batam.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and expansion of Indonesia operations.
• Coordinate local structure, tax compliance, and labor rules.
• Build and manage local teams across functions.
• Develop warehousing and distribution capabilities.
• Develop new B2B clients in electronics manufacturing sector.
• Manage relationships with industrial parks, authorities, and partners.
• Oversee cross-border logistics with China HQ.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations and risk controls.
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports to HQ.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and expand customer base.
