Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a Head of Indonesia Operations – Logistics to lead fully on-site Batam operations, develop local warehousing and distribution, and coordinate cross-border logistics for electronics manufacturing partners. You will build the local team, implement procedures, and align with the China HQ for efficient transport links.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in logistics, strong Indonesian market knowledge, and fluency in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, and cross-border logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian market and regulatory environment.
• Experience in free trade zones or bonded areas is advantageous.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Batam; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and expand Indonesia operations and structure.
• Build local teams across ops, sales, CS; manage KPIs.
• Develop local warehousing, distribution, and reporting mechanisms.
• Coordinate with parks, authorities, and partners; ensure compliance.
• Oversee cross-border logistics with China HQ and regional ops.
• Manage customs clearance, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
