About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join the team at 9-11bali in Denpasar Barat, Bali. This is a part-time position that offers the perfect opportunity to showcase your expertise in coffee preparation, customer service, and hospitality. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our café operations, crafting exceptional beverages and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence in the hospitality and beverage sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, speciality coffees, teas, and other café beverages to a consistently high standard
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other café equipment, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and functioning optimally
• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, processing payments and managing the till system
• Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner, and handling enquiries or complaints with grace
• Maintain a clean and organised café environment, adhering to health and safety standards and hygiene regulations
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and communicate restock requirements to management
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak and quiet periods
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all beverages served
• Suggest complementary food and beverage items to enhance the customer experience

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar café or hospitality role within the bar and beverage sector
• Comprehensive knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation
• Strong ability to craft latte art and other specialty beverages with precision and creativity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods whilst performing repetitive tasks
• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to shift patterns as required
• A keen eye for presentation and a commitment to maintaining professional café standards
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling is advantageous
• Multilingual abilities, particularly fluency in English and Indonesian, would be highly valued
