Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Sales Engineer in APJ to lead technical discovery and architecture design in new logo sales cycles. You will understand each prospect’s environment, design the right architecture, and run proofs-of-concept that build confidence in Teradata and support a clear commercial decision.

Eight+ years in presales or solution architecture, hands-on SQL and Python, and cloud platform experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture.
• Proven track record of new logo wins, PoCs, and competitive deals.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Hands-on SQL and Python in live customer environments.
• Experience supporting Growth pursuits in APJ markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, architecture design, competitive positioning, and solution validation in Growth pursuit cycles.
• Run structured discovery sessions to map prospect environments, challenges, and data needs.
• Develop and present tailored architectures and PoCs illustrating Teradata value.
• Design and deliver PoCs and benchmarks across cloud and hybrid setups.
• Create reference architectures and PoC frameworks for APJ and worldwide teams.
