About the role We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the overall operations of our organisation. This is a full-time position based on Hong Kong Island, where you will play a strategic and pivotal role in driving the company's growth, profitability, and operational excellence. As General Manager, you will be responsible for implementing company policies, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring that all business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing all business operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the company


• Developing and implementing strategic plans and business initiatives to achieve company goals and targets


• Managing and supervising staff across all departments, including recruitment, training, and performance management


• Preparing and managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring financial targets are met


• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and business partners to maintain strong working relationships


• Monitoring market trends and competition to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement


• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures


• Reporting to senior management on business performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a senior management or general management role, preferably within the trading or business administration sector


• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams


• Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities with strong attention to detail


• Sound financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders


• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities


• Knowledge of business operations, supply chain management, and trading practices is advantageous


• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is essential


• Tertiary qualification in business administration, commerce, or a related field is preferred
