About the role

Jiwusiwei (HK) Limited is seeking a professional and engaging Waiter to join our team in the Causeway Bay Wan Chai District. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Waiter, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for providing attentive service, taking orders, and ensuring every customer leaves with a memorable experience. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly and seating them at appropriately prepared tables
• Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage options
• Taking accurate food and drink orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring correct items are delivered to the correct guests
• Checking on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns or special requests
• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
• Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and grooming at all times
• Clearing and resetting tables efficiently between seatings
• Assisting with restaurant cleanliness and organisation of dining areas
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene regulations
• Working collaboratively with kitchen, bar and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to interact politely with diverse guests
• Attention to detail, particularly in taking orders accurately and remembering special requests
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays or plates safely
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during peak service times
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Reliability and punctuality in attending scheduled shifts
• A willingness to learn and adapt to the restaurant's procedures and standards
• Fluency in English and Cantonese is advantageous
