About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Front of House / Floor staff member to join the team at Chico Hill Limited. This is a part-time position based on Hong Kong Island. As Front of House staff, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of service excellence. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience and upholding the reputation of our venue.
Key responsibilities
Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with restaurant protocols and guest preferences
Taking food and beverage orders accurately and clearly, with knowledge of our menu offerings and recommendations
Serving food and beverages in a professional and timely manner whilst maintaining impeccable table presentation
Ensuring all glassware, cutlery and crockery are clean, properly positioned and replenished throughout the meal service
Clearing tables efficiently and discreetly whilst maintaining conversation and attentiveness to guest needs
Processing payments and operating the point-of-sale system accurately
Responding promptly to guest requests and addressing any concerns with professionalism and courtesy
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic dining environment at all times
Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Upholding food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with all relevant regulations
What we're looking for
Previous experience in waiting or front-of-house roles within a hospitality setting is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage with diverse guests
Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Professional appearance and demeanour with a commitment to outstanding customer service
Physical stamina and the ability to work effectively during busy service periods
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including understanding of wine, spirits and cocktails (training provided if necessary)
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work part-time shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
Positive attitude, team-focused mentality and willingness to support colleagues
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and till operation
