Job summary

SMBC Group in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Corporate Banking professional to deepen relationships with major corporate clients and originate a broad range of banking solutions. You will coordinate with overseas branches and product specialists to deliver integrated financing, treasury, and advisory services, while driving revenue, ROE, and profitability for the franchise.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and ~10 years in corporate banking, with CFA/FRM/CPA desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar.
• Approximately 10 years of corporate banking experience; junior VP may be considered with less experience.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deepen relationships with existing corporate clients and identify new opportunities to grow the client franchise and profitability.
• Formulate and execute relationship and account plans to achieve revenue, profitability, ROE, and broader objectives.
• Originate and deliver a broad range of banking solutions across SMBC's product platform in collaboration with product specialists.
• Collaborate with overseas branches and SMBC Group entities to deliver integrated banking solutions and coordinated client coverage.
• Drive cross-selling to broaden wallet share across financing, transaction banking, treasury, capital markets, and advisory products.
• Lead transaction execution by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of client mandates.
• Partner with Credit & Investment teams on credit-related matters, ensuring compliance with risk management and regulatory requirements.
