SMBC Group in Hong Kong is seeking a senior credit professional to monitor loan portfolios, assess risks, and support profitable growth. You will prepare credit applications with cash flow projections and run scenario analyses, while aligning with evolving credit policies.

You will advise Relationship Managers, review loan documentation, and coach junior staff. Strong communication and relationship skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of credit analysis experience.
• Knowledge of structured products and trade finance is an advantage.
• Client-facing / relationship management experience is an advantage; good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct daily credit monitoring of the loan portfolio, including performance analysis and forward-looking projections.
• Prepare new and renewal credit applications, including cash flow projections, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis.
• Monitor and review the Bank's credit policies and grading systems to ensure alignment with market developments and emerging risk trends.
• Provide credit and risk assessment advice to Relationship Managers and business teams to support prudent and profitable business growth.
• Review and advise on loan documentation to ensure compliance with credit requirements and risk standards.
• Support the development and coaching of junior credit staff and associates through knowledge sharing and guidance on credit analysis, policies, procedures, and systems.
• Participate in the enhancement and development of the Bank's credit systems, frameworks, and policies.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews and inspections by authorities and external auditors.
• Participate in client meetings, calls, and site visits to understand clients' operations, financing needs, and risks.
• Partner with Marketing Units on transaction structuring, credit assessment, and portfolio monitoring while ensuring compliance with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Assess banking and financing solutions across SMBC's product platform from a credit risk perspective.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
