Job summary

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Corporate/Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to deepen client relationships and grow a diverse portfolio. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to pitch and close cross-sell opportunities across Transaction Banking, Sustainable Finance, and Capital Markets.

You will independently manage the full credit lifecycle—from initial pitches and term sheets to loan documentation and post-disbursement monitoring—while handling

• University degree in business or finance required.
• 5+ years in corporate/commercial banking client management.
• HKIB qualification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills.
• Sales & customer oriented with solid credit analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deepen relationships with corporate/commercial banking clients and solicit new business.
• Manage and grow the existing portfolio of assigned clients.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to pitch and close cross-sells (Transaction Banking, Sustainable Finance, Capital Markets, Treasury/Financial Market products).
• Independently manage the full spectrum of credit processes (pitching, term sheets, pricing, credit reports, loan documentation, post-disbursement monitoring, reviews, account opening).
• Handle ad-hoc tasks by team head (market studies, intelligence, guiding junior RMs).

Job description

• Deepen client relationships with existing corproate / commercial banking clients and solicit new clients/businesses
• Manage and grow existing portfolio of assigned clients
• Liaise with various internal / external stakeholders to pitch and close cross sells in various aspects, including Transaction Banking, Sustainable Finance, Capital Markets, Treasury / Financial Market products, etc.
• Independently manage the full spectrum of credit process, including new transaction pitching, term sheet drafting, price setting, preparing credit application report for credit approval, loan documentation, post disbursement credit monitoring, credit review, account opening, etc.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by team head, including conducting market study, provide market intelligence, provide guidance to junior RMs, etc.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably major in business, finance
• Minimum of 5 years’ corporate / commercial banking experiences in client relationship management with well-developed business connections
• Relevant HKIB qualification would be an advantage
• Excellent communication, analytical and relationship building skills
• Sales & customer oriented with solid credit analysis knowledge
• Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
