Job summary

Sands China Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Audio Visual Manager to lead the AV team, drive strategic plans, and manage budgets for large-scale hotel events in Hong Kong.

You will build relationships with hotel stakeholders and oversee multiple high-profile projects from planning to evaluation. The role requires a proven leadership track record, extensive hospitality industry knowledge, and strong IT proficiency in multimedia systems.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience in large-scale event facilities (hotels, event management company).

Responsibilities

• Participate with Senior Executives to develop a vision and strategic plan for the organization.
• Ensure the Audio Visual Team delivers highest standards of quality.

• Oversee planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of major projects.

• Implement a performance management process including annual reviews.

Job description

To set and achieve the highest standard in all areas of audio visual management services including the overall team leadership, budget management and the development of business growth and improvement strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Participate with Senior Executives in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization
• Ensure the Audio Visual Team delivers highest standards of quality
• Cultivate relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance overall business relationship with external and internal stakeholders
• Develop an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organization
• Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects
• Provide overall leadership and accountability in all department related areas
• Develop and oversee all department related budgets
• Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for all staff
• Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
• Implement a performance management process for all staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review
• Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the organization's mission
• To understand the company annual goals as it directly pertains to the Department Annual goals and KPOs set forth by Senior Management
• Manage the P&L process according to the financial goals of the department

Requirements:

• 10 years experience in large-scale event facilities (hotels, event management company)
• Have proven leadership skills, advanced technical proficiency, utmost dependability, and company loyalty
• Results oriented team player who leads by example, holds themselves accountable for performance and takes absolute ownership of issues
• Extensive knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes required, verifiable record of personally executing large and successful audio visual programs
• Prior senior management experience is required, verifiable track record of successfully managing an operation of similar scope
• Exhibit enthusiasm in regard to reaching assigned goals
• Being proficient with computer systems used in multimedia productions
• Excellent overall technical and IT knowledge, excellent Word processing and Excel skills
• Prefer audiovisual equipment, Lynx and Oracle knowledge
• Degree in Event Management, Engineering, Media Production, or Information Technology
