Job summary

Sands China is seeking an experienced architect/designer to lead business and information architecture initiatives for diverse environments, including hotels, casinos and convention spaces. The role requires directing external design firms, overseeing costs and schedules, and liaising with Macau management and local teams to deliver complex projects.

Job description

• Define and design business and information architecture
• Oversee architectural design responsibilities as assigned - identification, selection and oversight of applicable architectural and engineering design firms; facilitating effective communication between all involved parties and managing costs of related design fees, and timing of delivery of projects
• Assist in the preparation of RFP’s; review the design brief and consultants’ contracts; identify any issues/clarification is required
• Effectively communicate between the outside design, construction, operations, purchasing, and vendors/partners
• Collaborate and confer with executive management to determine architectural preferences, purpose and function of environment, layout and utilization of furnishings, budget, timing
• Support the construction delivery team in all aspects related to design including ensuring acceptable quality deliverables by the consultants
• Liaise with the Macau based management and operations team, working with the local corporate construction team and third-party contractors to design, construct and deliver the project
• Ensure timely and effective execution of the commencement and completion of design projects including all interim period deliverables
• Plan, design, and deliver diverse design environments including hotel guest rooms and suites, retail space, casinos, food and beverage outlets and convention space
• Manage global projects requiring cross-cultural sensitivities and proven flexibility to adapt to regional design standards and construction methodologies
• Define and design business and information architecture
• Provide mentoring, leadership, and technical direction to product development team members

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• over 8 or more years of experience in related area
