Job summary

The ISF Academy in Hong Kong invites applications for an IT Manager, Systems and Operations to lead and manage our critical IT infrastructure across the school.

You will oversee virtualization, storage, networking, security, backups, and cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Entra ID, collaborating with teachers and admin staff.

The role requires a degree in IT/CS and 2–3+ years in system administration and networks, with strong English, Cantonese and Mandarin communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in system administration and network infrastructure.
• Proficient in Windows Server, Linux, macOS, Active Directory, and network protocols.
• Familiar with cloud platforms and services including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Google Workspace Administration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with strategic infrastructure planning and technology road mapping; good communication in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Self-motivated, mature team player able to work independently with minimal supervision.

We are now seeking a self-driven, passionate and experienced candidate to fill the following position:

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network infrastructure;
• Perform regular data backups and implement system upgrades;
• Configure and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and spam filtering tools to ensure robust network and security management (i.e. Participate in activities involving firewalls, WAF, IPSec VPN, and zero-trust security frameworks);
• Monitor system performance and address security alerts, phishing activities, and malware threats to safeguard the school’s network and maintain uninterrupted connectivity;
• Maintain accurate records of system configurations and incident logs, and prepare periodic reports on system health, security status, and performance metrics;
• supporting the Active Directory, ADFS, SSO, and MFA configurations, and helping manage Microsoft 365 and Google administration platforms;
• Collaborate with teammates and provide support when they encounter IT-related challenges, delivering direct troubleshooting for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues; and
• Coordinate with external vendors for system fixes, upgrades, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; experience in an educational environment is an advantage;
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in system administration and network infrastructure;
• Proficient in Windows Server, Linux, macOS, Active Directory, and network protocols;
• Familiarity with network, server and data backup solutions;
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, firewalls, and spam/phishing prevention tools;
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Google Workspace Administration;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, coupled with strategic infrastructure planning and technology road mapping; and
• Good communication and writing skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin;
• A proactive team player who is self-motivated, mature, and capable of working independently under minimal supervision.
