The Independent Schools Foundation Academy Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager/Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and audits, reporting to the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager.
You will handle full sets of accounts, month-end close, variance analysis, internal controls, SAP system, and liaise with procurement and treasury functions; candidates with 8+ years in accounting and professional qualification are welcome.

We are now seeking a self-driven, passionate and experienced candidate to fill the following position:
This role supports the Finance Office in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and audit coordination. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager, the role ensures accurate financial records, effective internal controls, and timely delivery of management information, while contributing.
Handle full sets of accounting for assigned entities. Perform and support month-end closing procedures, including preparation and review of accounts, accounting schedules, journals, and reconciliations;
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and internal requirements;
Assist in gathering information about annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic management reports for assigned entities or functions;
Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to management;
Assist in coordinating annual statutory audits, preparing audit schedules, and gathering information to auditors’ enquiries;
Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecast exercises for assigned entities;
Supervise and coach junior team members on their daily tasks;
Handle daily finance operations, ensuring data integrity and effective system controls (e.g. SAP);
Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to ensure compliance and risk management;
Handle accounting transactions, including expenses, reimbursements, fixed assets, and other finance operations, to ensure proper documentation and accuracy;
Work with procurement function to ensure procurement to payment procedures and transactions are compliant with relevant policies;
Support treasury functions including cash flow monitoring, fund management and bank administration activities;
Assist in cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis to ensure sufficient funding for operational and capital needs;
Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide finance support on projects, initiatives, and committee-related matters; and
Any ad hoc duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or Business-related disciplines;
A full member of an internationally recognized accounting professional body;
At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in the education sector is an added advantage. Candidates with more experience and/or demonstrating strong capabilities may be considered as Finance Manager;
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications (knowledge of SAP will be an advantage);
Proactive, structured, analytical and solution-oriented with a continuous drive for improvement;
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset;
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
Good command of written English, Cantonese, and Putonghua; and
Team player, supervision experience is a plus.
