Job summary
Pathos Consultancy Limited is seeking a Senior System Administrator for a Financial Services client. You will administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, certificate services and Windows Failover Clustering, and manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online/Server and hybrid Exchange.
You will also support mail flow, patching, virtualization with VMware vSphere, and OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms, with a focus on security and incident analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure operations, system administration or infrastructure support
- At least 2 years of experience in network equipment patching and maintenance, including routers, switches and firewalls
- Strong Hands-on experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Microsoft Entra ID
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, including ESXi and vCenter
- Experience with Veeam and enterprise SAN/NAS storage
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes is an advantage
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, PowerShell, automation tools or infrastructure monitoring solutions is a plus
- ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, Red Hat, Kubernetes or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
Responsibilities

- Support Windows and Linux server patching, infrastructure upgrades, firmware updates and lifecycle management
- Monitor and maintain servers, virtualisation, storage, network and supporting infrastructure
- Administer SAN/NAS storage and Veeam backup and recovery solutions
- Support OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms, including upgrades, patching, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Support infrastructure security hardening, event log monitoring, CIS Benchmark reviews and security improvement activities

About you
